Briggs Nature Center is a nature preserve in Marco Island, Florida. It is a great place for hiking and birdwatching, with trails that will take you through some of the most beautiful natural areas on the island. The center offers guided tours, but it's also open to the public for self-guided exploration. The preserve boasts an array of wildlife, including alligators, snakes, turtles and other reptiles as well as birds from around the world. If you are lucky enough to see an alligator while visiting Briggs, be sure not to approach too closely they tend to be skittish around humans. The preserve has an extensive trail system that allows visitors to explore all corners of the preserve at their own pace. Visitors can also visit one of two observation towers that provide views across much of the preserve.

There are also several educational programs available at Briggs Nature Center, including guided tours through various parts of the preserve.
