Oranges and citrus anyone? For a long time and many years Estero was exactly known for that. A Southwest Florida village directly sandwiched in between Fort Myers to it's north and the uncompromising city of Naples to the south. Florida's waterfront coast along the Gulf is already home to fine homes and luxury condos. Today Estero is distinctly known for laying it's claim as the home of Gulf Coast University. Estero's famous Mound Key Archaeological State Park manages to put in the work to continue to provide the public with another beautiful place to visit and learn. If expanding your horizons to explore another fantastic south Florida city that it really is time to arguably contest that Estero could be hidden real estate gem. Prices in Estero are still considered reasonable by many as newcomers continue to embark on new journeys of relocating from the north and other parts of the world.
In the MLS system in Estero there are approximately 48 or so homes on the market ranging up to $3 million in price for the large single family estate listings. Several of them consist of an average interior square footage of 4,000 to 5,000 sq. ft. The unique part regarding the super ultra luxury mansions is they come with a really nice amount of land around them. Several are also waterfront and provide expansive water and golf course views. 20 or so condos in Estero make up the structure of active and available MLS listings. Most fall into the price range of $300,000 to $700,000. Estero once again is one of the most undervalued real estate locations in all of Southwest Florida. With it's proximity to Ft. Myers all needs for major products are just a short drive away. With Sanibel and Captiva being super close by, a vacation home or getaway is not out of the question. The Florida keys are also a few hours away as is Miami. Fort Myers has an international airport making it super convenient for travelers from Europe to arrive direct.
The nearby beaches are intriguing providing miles and miles of sandy beachfront living and playable along it's shores. Estero Bay's makeup of landscaping has been transformed by shell mounds over the years resulting in an infusion of the most stunning scenery available anywhere. Most vacant lots in Estero provide really good value. Several can go up as high as $1.5 million in price, however there are many opportunities under the $500,000 mark. The real estate in Florida has never been doing better than it is now. More and more retirees and second home owners are pursuing properties down here knowing that the sunny state of Florida is about as good as it will really get.
