Allyson Loos is the founder of Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples. Allyson has always had a love for kids, this additionally led her to study child psychology in college. She and her husband were thrilled to become parents to their children Bianca and Ben. Tragically, 13-month-old Bianca passed away in 1999, due to bacterial meningitis. Afterwards, the Loos family then decided to relocate to Naples, Florida. They soon began to set up a fund to help others in commemoration of their daughter. When the Loos were deciding what to focus the funds on, Ally had a vivid dream of Bianca in a bright, magnificent place for children and families to enjoy together. She realized that Bianca would have wanted a children’s museum in Naples. With some help from new friends, they began fundraising for what would later become Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples. The children’s museum was founded in 2002 and officially opened to the public in 2012. It became a must-visit museum in Naples, and still is to this day.
