The Collier Public Library has several branches throughout the area including Marco Island, Immokalee, and Everglades City. From searching for books, catalogs, downloads, and streams, the new age in finding information is here and the public library system is more than just keeping up. Matter of fact, this is one of the most impressive and classy libraries in Florida. The library system is not just a library, many events and donations are organized as part of giving back to the community. The Collier Public Library system actually consists of 10 locations, including a headquarters library. Two of them are regional along with 7 branches distributed within this service area. The Collier system has an estimated print collection of approximately 640,000 volumes and provides e-resources, programs, and other audio-visual material.
An unbelievable amount of resources, information, and educational material is right here at your fingertips. The library's budget is just over $7 million per year and is primary funded from taxes and impact fees. Other donations from generous groups and individuals make living in a wonderful city like Naples that much more lovable. These additional funding sources include, Friends of the Library which is a nonprofit charitable organization. Their mission is to enhance and expand educational, recreational, and technological needs of the Collier community as a whole. All residents of the county may receive a library card. County visitors and non-residents are required to pay $10 per month or $100 per annum for the membership. All locations offers computers, printers, and internet access.
