The sand is white and smooth, and there are lots of shells to delight children and shell collectors. However, because the shells might be sharp to walk on, it is recommended that you wear footwear and bring water shoes. The water is clean, warm, and shallow, making it ideal for families with young children. There are no lifeguards on duty, so please be cautious and keep an eye on your children at all times. There are numerous birds to observe. During the summer, a one-mile nature route through the sand dunes can be used to spot gopher tortoises and nesting sea turtles. there is also the possibility of seeing dolphins, manatees, crabs, sea stars, and snails.
